What are the pros and cons of breeding Great Pyrenees?

Can anyone tell me a little about breeding purebred Great Pyrenees? Are they prone to certain diseases or cancers? What kind of routine maintenance do they require? Where would you find AKC registered adults? With a special interest in livestock guarding dogs.
